The lake is part of the Moy catchment, so, along with the resident brown trout, there are seasonal runs of salmon and grilse. There is also a considerable head of pike.

The scenery is magnificent. This is hidden Ireland where tradition never fades and where the fishing is legendary. The fishing Lodge nestles within the grounds of enniscoe house , among the best known country houses in the west of ireland, and on the sheltered shore of Bog Bay, probably one of the most productive areas of the lake. The harbour is home to six boats and engines for hire. there is a ghillie/guide service available.

Gary Crossley is the fishery manager.
Barry Segrave, the former owner, was very pleased to hand the enterprise to Gary. He says “I am delighted that after 15 years of fishing with me Gary has taken over.” Gary says, “This is a wonderful place, and Barry is a great friend. I’m glad that he’s still around with advice and support.”
